BUP-DAP
  • BUP-DAP which stands for the Buprenorphine Drug Assistance Program, is designed to increase access to medications that treat Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Enrolling in this program will allow individuals with OUD who are uninsured and underinsured to have access to these vital medications while they are waiting to get enrolled in DC Medicaid or another form of health insurance. 

    If you, or a loved one, do not have insurance or if your insurance does not cover the medication you need to treat your condition, please reach out to your doctor to sign up for BUP-DAP.

How to utilize BUP-DAP

  1. Visit your doctor: a valid prescription is required to utilize BUP-DAP benefits.

  2. Talk to your doctor or case manager: case managers can register you for BUP-DAP here.

  3. After approval into BUP-DAP, you and your case manager will receive a BUP-DAP Enrollee ID Card.

  4.  All prescriptions must be fulfilled at:

    5. To pick up your medication, all you need is your government issued photo ID. 

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

BUP DAP requests are processed regularly; however, review of applications may be delayed if the DC Government is closed. Foreseeable closures due to holidays are detailed online and can be found by clicking Holiday Schedules | DCHR. On occasion, additional closures may occur not documented in the holiday schedule. Requests will be processed once the DC Government reopens.

MyRides DC

PROGRAM UPDATE (October 2025)

Thank you for your interest in MyRides. Currently, the program is paused but expected to resume soon. Information about the program can be found below. Please feel free to sign up if you are interested. Once the program resumes, we will reach out to everyone and provide an onboarding training for additional information and next steps.

The MyRides program provides free rideshares to District residents with an opioid use disorder (OUD) or stimulant use disorder (STUD) to get them initially engaged or re-engaged with treatment and recovery support services (RSS). Rides can be to and from substance use disorder (SUD) treatment or RSS.
